Stan Frankenthaler is an award-winning executive chef and innovator. Stan has worked across all sectors of the restaurant industry from white tablecloth to quick service, owned his own portfolio of unique restaurant concepts, and worked for some of the world’s largest corporations. He has expertise in retail foodservice and is well-versed in food manufacturing from product development through commercialization to market testing and launch. Stan’s experience includes creating innovation-to- market processes for three large multi-unit organizations, launching consumer packaged goods (CPG) products creating millions of dollars of additional revenue, and generating unique retail product lines meeting highly on-trend consumer needs.

Currently Stan is the founder and principal of Love Foods, LLC., a menu strategy and innovation advisory organization consulting with restaurant companies of all sizes. Stan has led culinary R&D, beverage, brewing, and strategic supply and procurement as an executive and chief officer in four portfolio organizations over the last 25 plus years. His ownership experience gives insights to finance, operations, and people development rarely found in today’s environment. Years of senior leadership experience and serving as an adjunct to the board of directors ground Stan in the key functional areas across any organization.

Stan is also a published author and has made many media appearances through his career. His charitable work includes support of the James Beard Foundation, Share Our Strength, and Community Servings, among others. He has served as co-chairs of both the Chefs Collaborative, and The Culinary Institute of America’s Healthy Menus R&D Collaborative.

Culinary Tips

I love using spicy, pickled peppers with fried potatoes. I always toss a handful of pepperoncini into a pan of home fries.
